Just a few kilometres from Rieti, surrounded by olive trees and greenery, Al Bersagliere welcomes its guests with traditional local dishes, genuine ingredients and flavours that tell the story of the Holy Valley.
Our story
Al Bersagliere is a restaurant located about 7 km from Rieti, the geographical centre of Italy. The Petrongari family has been running the restaurant since 1988: a long-standing tradition of hospitality and good food.
Our cuisine is based on regional recipes, with our own meat or meat from nearby farms, and homemade pasta and desserts prepared by hand every day.
We are open for lunch and dinner every day, except on Tuesdays (weekly closing day).
The place
The restaurant stands on a small hill, surrounded by lush nature and impressive olive trees. From our large windows you can admire Mount Terminillo and the mountains of the Holy Valley.
Just 3 km away you will find the famous Franciscan sanctuary of Fonte Colombo, where Saint Francis of Assisi wrote the Rule of the Friars Minor: a place of spirituality and silence that makes your stop here even more special.
